Winnie the Pooh Friendship Quotes

pooh friendship quotes

“If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together…there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart. I’ll always be with you.”
~ Winnie the Pooh

I love this quote by Winnie the Pooh – it is so sweet!  I think everyone wishes they had their own imaginary friend to tell them these things, but it is worth the time to start to tell yourself these things and replace all of the negative self talk (which doesn’t help you in any way) with positive kind talk.  Life can be very hard sometimes, and if you are able to be self-soothing and have a positive internal monologue with yourself, you are on the right path!… Read the rest

Ambitions Quotes

“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.”

~ Mark Twain

I love this quote by Mark Twain because it has happened to me so many times.  How often have you told someone what you want to do and they have told you there’s no money in that or that you won’t like it, or that it is crazy?  It happens to me all the time!  At first I used to get quite upset and start telling myself maybe they are right, but after a while I began to understand that they really didn’t know what they were talking about at all, and were probably too afraid to follow their own dreams.… Read the rest

Being Real Quotes

quotes about being real

You really have to look inside yourself and find your own inner strength, and say, “I’m proud of what I am and who I am, and I’m just going to be myself.  ~Mariah Carey

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind. ~Dr. Suess

Being real is like being a lady… if you have to tell people you are… you aren’t. ~ Drake

These being real quotes all reflect the simple fact that if you are real with yourself, and true to your beliefs and desires, you are living a genuine life.  The hard part is, fully trusting yourself and not caring what other people think of you. … Read the rest

Full Moon Quotes

Every one is a moon, and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody.  -Mark Twain

Each person is both good and evil, each person has flaws and unique strengths and often times life’s decisions and choices are in a gray area.  What Mark Twain meant when he said this quote was that every person has a bit of evil in them, but that doesn’t make them evil.  Each person is a complex being, with needs and wants and desires and sometimes it is hard to control the negative or dark impulses that we have to get what we want.

This quote also stuck out to me because it implies that you can’t really truly know another as they aren’t displaying their ‘true’ self. … Read the rest

Creating Yourself Quotes

creating self

Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.

~George Bernard Shaw

This quote is so full of wisdom.  In life it is easy to get caught up in your own dramas and try to analyze every little thing that you do.  Sometimes you can feel like you don’t know yourself at all and you have little self knowledge. Sometimes you have no idea what is behind your actions at all.  It is one of the most difficult things in the world to truly know yourself. This panic can be an overwhelming feeling, and you may think that you need to find yourself.  But often the act of finding ourselves involves trying new things and pushing our own boundaries.

What Shaw is saying is that these experiences, in whatever way we choose to live our lives are helping shape who we are. … Read the rest

Coming Home Quotes

“We must not cease from exploration. And the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we began and to know the place for the first time.” – T. S. Eliot

This is one of the most famous quotes of all time by T. S. Eliot.  Eliot was a poet and novelist who was a prominent writer in the age of modernism, just after the first World War.  It was an era of great change and revolution, especially amongst the artistic communities of Europe.  At the crux of what this quote is about is the idea that as we grow, and explore we also change as people.  When you are growing up, you are constantly experiencing new things, new people, new challenges – you are living life. … Read the rest
