“Dedicate your life to a cause greater than yourself, and your life will become a glorious romance and adventure.” ~Mack Douglas
This inspirational quote comes from Mack Douglas and has to do with living your life with an immense purpose. It is easy to go through life just following your instincts or living the life that you think you should be without really considering any other choices, but life is always filled with so much awesome things to do if we only consider living our lives outside of the box.
What the author is saying, however, is that if you dedicate your life to something bigger than yourself and your own dreams – whether it be helping others in some way, or starting your own business, or following religion (it could be anything really). … Read the rest
“Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so love the people who treat you right and forget the ones that don’t and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, Let it. Nobody said that it’s be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.”
This quote is so cute and true. Too often we wake up in the morning with a list of to dos and go through our days like zombies wishing for something different or clinging to something in our pasts. The only person who can decide what you can and can’t do is yourself. Now this doesn’t mean that you can just think you can do anything and then you will magically be able to do them. You can’t just say, I am the best skier in the world and then start bombing some double black diamond’s before you’ve taken any lessons. … Read the rest

– Claude Bernard
This quote speaks about how our beliefs sometimes prevent us from learning or seeing the truth. We develop beliefs early in life. For example, a baby growing up in rural Africa will have quite a different set of beliefs as a baby in suburban America. The lifestyles, cultures, and relationships are totally different. But does that make either any less real or true? Your opinions and deepest held beliefs are actually artificial. Each person develops this knowledge second hand – that is through our parents, family, or society. How we view the world is largely shaped by those around us rather than ourselves. … Read the rest
